Now he wants to kill himself and others. I tell him that he would be throwing all GOD has blessed him with back in his face. He chases money, throws it away with nothing to show for it and does not know what responsibility is. There is good in him and that is what i am trying to reach. I must save him now that i have shown him that he is drowning. He is in the water, i am on the water, the sharks are circling, he sees my hand but will not let go of all his worldly burdens, and so he sinks as the weight of his perceived goods makes the ropes cut into his flesh, thus making the predators want to feed. Do i dive in and try to rescue him and his goods knowing that the weight is too enormous? or is it his choice to save himself by un-tying the burden from his back?

The Savior-Christ came to give man salvation but it is mankind who must choose to accept it, he must save himself. He must unburden himself from the pursuits of the world and follow that of the spirit. It is a great and glorious thing, this spirit. For it is only when you have given up all things that you find you have gained anything at all.

I cannot leave Mowad in the shape he is in at the moment. His health is failing him because he will not take care of himself. He is not with his children because of his wife, because his wife does not want him back at home. He has land to sell but no money to pay the taxes so that he can sell it and at present he is not working because he may go to Jerusalem to see about the land that he cannot sell. He is ill equipped to be living in this world, just as so many here are.
