As I look in the mirror:

It is a byproduct of your being here for her.

In that time of learning to know you did not know anything.

You still do not know anything when we look back after 20 years.

You have been here before.

You know what you are.

You have seen it.

You have been shown.

We have forgotten how to talk with each other.

That was the first thing I learned.

So, I learned how talking included listening.

There was no judgement, if I did not understand I questioned to remove my ignorance.

When spoken harshly toward, I let their words land softly.

But once again being within man, in a capacity of leader, their words do not land softly anymore.

Because I pursue the direction of everyone being held accountable for their actions and follow the same boundaries that those in authority have placed on other members of the community.

Because I pursue this, I am cursed upon, yelled at, called a liar, openly in front of other members of the community.

But it has been going on for some time and a time has come to when their words are once again beginning to fall softly.

I was to begin a section of this time titled “The Rod and Ichabod – continued”.

But now it seems it might not be the case.

And of that byproduct I am a herald the coming of those foretold.
