This morning we have arrived off the coast of Taiwan. Visibility is poor, only about four miles and you can just make out the city of Kaohsiung. We will have to sit for a few hours since we have arrived before our berthing time. We should be able to depart from the ship before sundown. If so, I will try to make it to the beach to watch the sunset and then visit downtown after dusk but I will just wait and see what happens.
Last night on the bow was nice but the deck chair I was using was uncomfortable for the catnaps I was trying to take while waiting on the moon to set in order to see more of the stars. Needless to say, the moon stayed on the horizon until I could not stay awake any longer so I got back to the cabin early in the A.M.
After awakening, yoga and exercise, I got my orange and went to the bow to see my first sight of land since leaving the coast of the United States. Now after seeing almost nothing for weeks, there are a plethora of boats, planes, land, skyscrapers, factories and birds galore.
