I am reading a book from the ship’s library called “Dove”. It is about a young-aged man’s journey around the world in his twenty-four-foot sailboat. He was a self-proclaimed pagan and under destroying seas, he asked, God or “whoever you are”, please help me! And he received help, in the way Christ calmed the seas.
Man, most men, only find faith when near death but the cause that finds us in that predicament is the gift from the hand of the Father, so that we may have true faith and not just an intelligent knowledge of an impersonal god, like most have. We are given and know of Him in the essence of our being but we have found Him only because we have ventured from the world and placed our lives knowingly or unknowingly in his hand. Yet this is another reason to renounce all things of the world, so that belief may become faith.
