It is the third night and fourth day in Delhi. Being here has brought much sleep because of the travel and the traffic. Sevgilim ventured out yesterday, against recommendations from the travel booking agent, but we had none of the reported trouble. There is still much dust in the air and along with tailpipe pollution and the trash of rotting fruit and poop of cattle, the burning of incense and the outside cooking, this is a great mix of aromas.

They are still holding their religious festivals. When Sevgilim and I were out last night, we walked over to the area and there stood a little girl staring at me. As she walked by me she brushed up against me, finally bringing her to my attention. Then as we were walking unto the grounds, she passed by again, held out her hand. I did the same and she grabbed two of my fingers, looked up to me and smiled.

Everyone has been very friendly and the only thing, like back in the states, there are those that give a lot of general warning and don’t dos. I am finding them to not be true but one’s is based upon ignorance and one’s is based upon potential profit.

This day will be our last day in Delhi and from here we go to Dharmasala, to lean from Buddhism. This place is where the Tibetans setup when they left their land, because of the Chinese occupations. An overnight train will get us close and from there we will arrive by taxi and find lodging.
