You have been told that good deeds are not enough and you have been told that doing good deeds will not get you into the kingdom of heaven. The reason that good deeds will not get you into heaven is because you have not accepted (Blank). But with the acceptance of (Blank) is to profess that (Blank) is the (Blank) of God. That he and (Blank) are one. It is only through (Blank) that you might be saved.
One may fill in the blanks with dogma of organizations, given for christ, Mohammad, Buddha, Hindu god or anything, for the dogma given is a profession of words.
But I tell you that good deeds are not enough if you have not accepted the spirit. For if you have accepted the spirit then it has become a matter of course that you realize nothing good can come from you, for in accepting the spirit you are now disregarding and overcoming your selfishness, materialism, pride, gluttony, licentiousness, and vanity. For there are many who will say kind words and not do good or do charity and say harsh words but look upon themselves with pride and vanity for doing good deeds, all the while seeking enjoyment and comfort in this worldly existence and they still have not found the kingdom of heaven.
