I sit here alone on a mountain, its top is covered with snow, thinking of God while others watch the world come to an end. I left the warm dry valley to get away from my fellow humans and now all I hear is a nearby river, the flies, the birds and feel the wind in my hair and the sun on my skin. I have no more questions for God for he is now the pilot in my life. I drove out here to Washington to start a new job with Spacelabs Medical. The career pursuit is long behind me and to hear others talk of how busy and hard worked, they are makes me sad. Their life is filled with chaos and confusion and pursuit of material needless things. I have no idea of what this life will bring except the servitude of the Lord who is gracious and merciful. Today is the start of a new day and with God’s will, this will be a day that I have strength to overcome temptation of the flesh and dullness of the mind.
