I arrived in Rovaniemi, Finland last night from Helsinki by train. I had meetings with four interesting people on the way. One young woman was knocking off her classes of child counselor training to go home, the other woman I assumed was Italian because she was speaking fluent Italian and had dark hair and dark skin. Her family was actually native to Finland from the Lapland. Native Scandinavian people are not blond hair and blue eyed and light skinned but dark hair, dark eyed and dark skin. She was going to her sister’s funeral that had died in the age of thirty. They celebrate while in colorful costumes for the life lived and not mourn the passing. Stereotyping is its own evil and should not be done, all people are individuals even though the majority has conformed to the programming set in place by those who wish and use strength for control. For if they were not programmed starting at the earliest of ages, then there would be no need for government nor religion, nor nationality nor race, and on and on. We would only know and revel in our diversity which destroys the monotonous drumbeat of conformity.
