We have berthed in Felixstowe, my final destination aboard the Atlas. I have gotten my passport stamped, so I am now legal in the country and have gone to the seamen’s center to exchange dollars to pounds and get a post card for the grandparents.

Graham and I both went to the seamen’s center and I was able to meet his daughter and son-in-law. She is a beautiful older woman. It almost seems to me that, now days, I think most women are beautiful. I have had my last supper aboard the Atlas and will head for town tomorrow A.M. and get a map for my route to London. Everyone is telling me to get a taxi, bus, take the train. Go to Ipswich by taxi, ten miles north, and take the train to London. This trip will take only an hour or I can walk and it will take three days. I am in no hurry and deep down I wish to walk. I have thought that if I am to walk then when I get ready to depart at zero nine thirty and there is at least one ray of sun then I shall head for London, otherwise I will walk ten minutes to Ipswich and catch the train. I pray for a ray of sun.
