It was a nice cool morning when I awoke, not being long after the sun itself had just risen. The blue waters of the Mediterranean were almost as calm as the appearance of space except for the minute ripples caused by the fresh breeze. The coolness of the day and spaces in the shade are a welcome after the hot dry air of Egypt. We are now just below Sicily and have been seeing fishing boats and a United States Navy vessel in the waters.
