I just got back from the mess hall where I had some hot tea and before that I was on the bow. What a day to be on the water. We are against a strong head current with a wind at forty knots gusting to fifty knots; seas are a ten to twelve feet.

While on the bow, I ended up getting wet because with the high wind and waves, it was enough to shoot a wall of water into the air at forty feet giving me and the deck a good soaking. At the stairs to the bow, the wind must have been at least seventy knots, above hurricane force with the wind speed and our forward speed to match. I suppose I should expect nothing less in the Indian Ocean during the Monsoon season.

Now, no more rain, just the wind and waves.
